Hosers vs Moose Soup
I remembered my GoPro for this week’s MNWAHL Winter Season games against the Moose Soup. Before the game even started things were off to a bad start when one of my teammates destroyed the cap of my water bottle in warmups. Once the game started though the fellas did a good job of allowing me to see most shots clearly, and put a few in the other net as we went on to win 5-2.
In the game, I faced 27 shots. The first goal that barely crossed the line was one where I anticipated a pass across the net, and the shooter was able to bank it off my knee. The second goal was a poorly placed rebound to an opposing player standing all alone right in front of me who was able to roof the puck. In the end, I stopped as many as I needed to pick up the W. According to the Stop It Goaltending Game Day app I was -0.63 goals ahead of the expected 2.63 goals that should have been scored.
