I haven’t brought my cameras to a game all season because I knew I wouldn’t have time to do the editing. With only a few games left in the regular season and us holding onto first place by one point after a three-game losing streak(one of them in overtime) we returned to the win column, but barely.
We started strong, quickly taking a 2-0 lead, but penalties in the second half had us playing shorthanded often and a questionable penalty with the Trasher goalie already pulled led to them tying the game late, forcing overtime. We exchanged shots on goal in the OT period before we put in the game winner.
We had no business winning this game as we allowed 62 shots on net. We’re not going to win games against most teams in this league allowing that many shots, but tonight we did win and we’ll take it as we tighten up our game heading into the playoffs in a few weeks.
