Sentinels vs Violent Gentlemen
Another tough game for the Sentinels in this 2024. We’ve had troubles with the Violent Gentlemen in the past, but usually fend them off, but not this game. We did some things well though. Offensively we’re doing better at spreading out and our passing continues to improve, but we still need to shoot more, and when we do shoot we need to aim for open net and not the goalie’s chest. Defensively our defensemen played well, but weren’t getting help down low, which led to most of the Violent Gentlemen goals that were either off oddman rushes, or two men in front of the net when we only had one defenseman and no forwards helping.
Late in the game, when we were still in it our compete level was overall low too. I just hope we’re getting all our bad habits out of the way before the playoffs start, as we slipped from the number one seed down to number two.
