Ice Jacks vs PTBNL – Playoffs
The MNWAHL fall season playoffs started with a statement 9-1 victory over PTBNL. I could easily say this is the best game I’ve played all season long, and based on my stats I wouldn’t be lying, but this was simply the best team game we’ve played all season. We had a full bench, our shots were finding the back of the net, passes were crisp, backchecking was strong and my defense did a fantastic job of clearing rebounds or tying up loose guys. I made some nice saves, but this was a total team effort.
I can also say that this is the first time I hit the ice with the new equipment that I didn’t feel stiff or awkward. I’m starting to acclimate to the new stuff. There are still some movements that I’m getting used to. I’ve noticed my stance is more upright now out of necessity as I can’t get as low as I did before. This is allowing better vision through traffic and reduces the stress on my back. I still need to get stronger pushes, but I know that’ll come
