Beer League Beer Review | PBR
With another week of MNWAHL play in the books, we have another post-game beer to sample in the locker room. I found a Pabst Blue Ribbon in the cooler this week. This isn’t a beer I drink often, having rated it a 3 on the Untapped beer tracking app, but it fits into my category of easy-drinking lighter beers that go down nicely after a game.
The 4.8% ABV American Lager is a little sweeter than I usually like for a lager, but not bad wasn’t bad after this skate. There were other options in the cooler this week, but they were all beers I’ve covered already in my ratings so I chose to go with the unrated beer.
If I’m buying beer for the team PBR typically won’t be a choice for me. It’s not a bad beer, and a lot of people love it. It’s just not one I’m reaching for when given options in normal situations. If I wasn’t rating beers, I would have grabbed the Coors Light out of the cooler.
One thing I have noticed this year is guys seem to have a lot of beer in the fridges at home this year, and instead of simply bringing a cold case to the game, they’re packing a cooler with a variety of beers. I love this tactic.
