Back-to-back games of the top two teams in the league separated by only one point in the standings. We felt ready to hold onto our first-place standing, but this was not our game. Puck luck was not on our side, and I let in 5 goals I feel I should have had but bad bounces or being too slow hurt us. This may have been a good loss for us though as it reminded us that we can’t just walk into the rink and expect to win. We need to win battles to lose pucks, we need to make crisp passes, and I need to be better.
