Sentinels vs Ice Zombies Spring Season Championship Game
It took me a while to edit this game, not just because we lost a championship game 5-0, but we’ve been busy with outdoor DIY projects building a retaining wall and not one, but two paver patios after work and on weekends when I’d normally be editing video.
We knew we had a tough opponent for the championship game, but one we’ve beaten 2 out of 3 times in 4 games this season. We came out strong but just didn’t have puck luck. When a scoring opportunity was on our sticks the puck seemed to bounce off sticks. I felt like I played a good game, stopping 38 of 42 shots, but we’re not going to win any games scoring 0 goals.
As much as I wanted to beat the Ice Zombies, I respect their team and the way they play. They’re a fun team to play against, and we at least made it to the championship game. Sometimes you have to lose in the championship game to know what it takes to win one.
