Despite the final score, this was a close game all the way through. Despite putting 46 shots on goal, we only managed 5 goals on our way to a 5-1 win. Most of the shots were long shots the goalie had a sight of the entire time.
The game was a 2-1 game heading into the third period before we netted the third goal, then two shorthanded goals late in the period to seal the victory. I stopped 29 of 30 shots and had a -2.16 expected goals against vs goals against average, meaning I should have let in 3+ goals.
