Hosers vs. Caels Angels
This was an all-around good game by the Hosers. Even before we hit the ice I just felt on. I think most athletes know those days when you just feel like you are going to have a good game, and this was one of those days for me. I played with confidence, saw the puck well, stopped pucks I hadn’t been stopping the previous few weeks, and walked away with my first shut out in two to three years with 25 saves. I played well, but it was a team win. My teammates created scoring opportunities and capitalized on them, played well defensively, and covered the front of the net better than they have all season long. It was a great way to cap off the end of the regular season.
To be clear it wasn’t a cakewalk to earn this shutout. Caels Angels got some quality scoring chances that I was able to turn away, and kudos needs to be given to the defensive effort of my teammates. They played solid defense with strong backchecking and clearing the front of the net so I could see shots.
