Hosers vs Coming in Hot Playoffs
Big matchup between the number eight and number nine seeded teams in the first round of the MNWAHL winter playoffs.
We scored three quick goals, then lost our momentum. Luckily for the Hosers I picked up where I left off after the previous game’s shutout and stopped 35 of the 36 shots I faced in the game, one of which was from my own teammate off a face-off. Our team captain has a habit of doing this if the face-off is off to my right. This happens so much so that I set up ready for the pass/shot as he wins most of his draws.
One of my saves stopped the puck right on the goal line. The ref was in the perfect position to see that the puck never crossed the line. I knew this and casually got up leaving the puck right on the line.
A late empty-net goal sealed the victory for us, and a second round matchup against the top-seeded GMI Generals and my goalie buddy Sawn.
