Hosers vs Ancorail
The Hosers were not able to light the lamp in MNWAHL play this week like they did the prior week when they scored 13. Giving up 46 shots, they were going to need more than three goals to even have a hope of winning, but that’s all they could muster.
I stopped 41 of those shots, giving the boys a chance as we fell 5-3 to Anchorail. A quicker whistle on one play and better defensive zone awareness by our wings could have made this a tie game, but what ifs will not get you anywhere.
I felt good in this game, movement was smooth, positioning solid, and I was seeing the puck well. I just wish I could have gotten some more offensive support like I did last week. Despite my play that included a goal-line stop with my paddle I think we were just outmatched in this game. You never like to say it, but we played a better team, and the better team won. We’ll see if we can bounce back next week.
