Tendy Talk Episode 21 – Ed Vogrich
For episode 21 of Tendy Talk I connect with Brother Rice High School of Chicago senior goaltender Ed Vogrich. I reached out to Ed as I am a Brother Rice alum who spent 4 years tending the net for the Crusader hockey team at both the JV and varsity levels. There was a saying at Brother Rice while I was there that “Rice Pride Never Dies”, and I’d say that’s true as I’ve followed the program closely since graduating in 1999. Ed and I talk about how we both got our start playing youth hockey for the St. Jude Knights out of the Southwest Ice Arena, his decision to attend Brother Rice over some of the other area schools, and how COVID has impacted his senior season. We even touched upon what Ed plans to do after high school graduation. While I end most podcast episodes with a song from The Zambonis I had to break out the old Brother Rice fight song for this episode. #RicePride
