Hosers vs. Ole Piper Chiefs
After a year off due to Covid the Hosers hit the ice again to kick off the 2022 MNWAHL winter season this week against the Ole Pipe Chiefs. It was nice to get the boys back together and the banter in the locker room is already in midseason form. Despite the jokes flying, we didn’t fare too well considering most guys barely skated over the past year, if they skated at all. It’s a good thing I kept skating as I did pretty well as I faced 44 shots in our 6-4 loss.
Despite the loss, there was still beer in the locker room post-game (some even indulged before the game) as our captain brought some Bush Lite, Summit EPA, and Grain Belt Nordeast.
Let’s hope we can rebound this week against Bantam C, a team that’s new to the division – at least to us as they may have started during the break we took due to Covid.
