Hosers vs. 2050 Vision | Winter Playoffs
After missing the last regular-season game because I was on vacation, and a week off due to Easter it was good to be back with the fellas. We had the higher seed in our game against 2050 Vision, but the one time we played them in the regular season we played to a 6-6 tie so I knew it would be a battle. 2050 Vision had one player on their team who could play in higher divisions and carried the play when he was on the ice. He scored on the opening plays of both the first and second periods.
In fact, I let in two of the first three shots making me think it would be a long night and our season coming to an end. The fourth shot of the game saw 2050 Vision’s skilled player carry the puck in and across my crease pulling me out of position, but I managed to stop the puck with a scorpion save. That save helped reset me and keep me focused for the rest of the game. Down 3-0, the fellas got gritty, started blocking shots, and battled back to score five straight goals securing a 5-4 victory and a trip to the next round of the playoffs.
