Hosers vs GMI Generals Second Matchup
In the second tilt of the MNWAHL Fall season, we didn’t fare as well against the GMI Generals as we did earlier in the season. We played lazily and passed up too many opportunities to shoot the puck and a 7-3 losing effort. On my end of the ice made some nice saves, but also let in some goals I feel I should have had in a 33 save effort performance. It’s all a tuneup till the playoff start though.
Even though I let 7 in, I have the be happy with the perfectly executed two-pad stack I pulled off on a two-on-one that had two more gray jerseys trailing the shot ready to put home any poorly places rebounds (which they didn’t get). I also know the score could have been a lot worse had I not made some of the acrobatic desperation saves that I did.
My buddy Shawn made some nice saves at the other end, frustrating my teammates on some plays as well. He deserves some credit in the GMI Generals win.
