Hosers vs M&G Trailers
I returned to the ice after missing a game due to a lower-body injury for the Hosers winter MNWAHL regular-season game against M&G Trailers. I let in two goals I probably would have had if not for the lingering soreness from the injury (an over-extended groin muscle). At the end of the day my team played well, and we scored more goals than they did to win the game 6-5. I managed to stop 23 shots in the game despite my reduced movembes.
I made no real big desperation highlight-reel saves in this game as my legs just weren’t in a position to allow for that. It’s tough sometimes navigating certain situations when the typical save you’d use in a situation isn’t in your save selection toolbox. The extra moment of thought it takes to figure out how you’ll play that situation can often time wind up with the puck in the net. I do believe my save selection got quicker as the game went on. Had it taken any longer we may not have won the game.
