Hosers vs Cales Angels
I didn’t feel dialed in for this game against Caels Angels, but still felt I played well, until late in the third period when they scored 3 late goals to come from behind and beat us 5-3 in the winter MNWAHL regular-season game. After watching the tape though I realize I played better than I thought, stopping 35 shots. I was still sore, and my movements reflected that.
My first big save was an old school Fuhr-like kick save transitioning into a two-pad stack as the rebound went right to an opposing shooter standing in the slot. I’m happy to say I made both saves. I also rushed a shooter on a breakaway. He didn’t get a shot off, but a trailer did get to the puck and missed the open net. I think my aggressiveness threw off both shooters.
The only thing I and the rest of the team can do is put this game behind us and come ready to play next week and hopefully turn things around. We’re capable of playing a complete game, and not getting complacent with a lead.
